Elite oceanic yachts go to solar energy

Almost all the outer surface of the giant ocean yacht Solarimpact is covered with solar panels, which allows you to endlessly travel in comfortable conditions, without worrying about fuel.

Yacht covered 300 sq.m. Solar panels, which in good weather generate 320 kWh per day. With a length of 24 meters and Messe 70 tons, it can develop speed up to 22 knots (48 km / h) with an engine at 1341 hp. For energy storage, the vessel is equipped with a battery, whose charge is enough for 10 hours of movement with cruising speed. In parallel, it is partially restored from the sun.

If you wish, you can move continuously, but then the maximum speed will not be about 9 km / h. In this mode, around the world will take half a year. For comparison, the usual yacht would burn about 100 liters of fuel per hour at 18.5 km / h.

However, in conditions of bad weather or for long-term movement at high speed, two additional diesel engines can be used. In this case, the drive system is automated, thanks to the built-in artificial intelligence, which allows one person to make any maneuvers.

The interior of the vessel is the same fantastic as its appearance. On the yacht there are several rooms for 10 guests and one crew member. The complete conceptual 3D model was presented in Cannes.
